S2 – E17 – Portofino – A ligurian pearl

by hagerini

One of the most iconic places of Liguria when not of all Italy is Portofino. The former fishing village is located within a dreamlike bay at the southern tip of the Tigullio Gulf bay. Surrounded by the azure blue sea and olive trees you will find pastel-colored houses, the little port and on top of a hill the Castello Brown. Over the years the idyllic place became an international jet set destination and is subject to the masterpiece “Love in Portofino” by Dalida. In this episode I’m showing you the best sights such as:

  • Promenade around the harbor
  • Castello Brown
  • Baia Cannone (Thumbnail picture)
  • Lighthouse
  • San Marino church
  • San Giorgio church
