S2 – E3 – Italian Road Trip Day 3 – Infiorata in Montefiascone & Bolsena
by hageriniby hageriniOur plan was to visit the two charming towns Montefiascone and Bolsensa at the lake Bolsena, a lake of volcanic origin. By accident, we stepped into one of the most important holy festivities the “Corpus Domini” also called “Infiorata”. In both towns the locals decorated their streets with long flower carpets in which later a religious procession took place. It was absolutely fascinating with how much passionate work the inhabitants are preparing and celebrating this christian solemnity.
