Ciao, my name is Hagerini, due to my Italian sounding nickname you may think that I’m Italian but no – actually I’m not. I have grown up in a little village near Bern and still live in Switzerland.
More than 4 years ago I fell in love with an Italian girl during my summer holidays in Sharm El Sheikh. After the holidays we were writing together every day and a few months later she invited me to her 18th birthday party – the only problem was that she lives in a little village near to Venice almost 700 kilometers away from my home. But our love for each other was stronger than the distance, that’s why I went to her birthday party over a single weekend, and we became a couple.
Unfortunately the relationship is no longer existing but with her I also fell in love with her country. It was she who showed me beyond the typical scenery I have known before as a tourist. Every day I’m learning something new about this amazing country and get more and more fascinated about its culture, people and beautiful places.
In the meantime I can really say that I’m addicted to Italy, I try to spend every free minute I have at the southern side of the Swiss alps. I was several times in big cities like Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice – just for mentioning a few but also in the countryside like in Val d’Orcia.
You may have the universe if I may have Italy.
During my stays and conversations with people I started to notice and appreciate so many nice characteristics about Italy and the people that live there.
There are so many open questions I would like to have answered and phenomenon I want to capture. My insights and impressions about Italy I make hereby I would like to document and share together with you in my blog.
Thank you for joining my discoveries through Italy,
Andiamo in Italia!
